Job Purpose and Scope:
The Creative Coordinator specializing in video production will demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, independent judgment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to be flexible as demands and priorities change. Under the general oversight of Creative Director and Technical Director, the incumbent will be responsible for the administration, video creation, Sunday production, and digital content within the Creative Team, all of which underscore the mission of Tapestry LA Church. They will maintain sensitive and confidential information in electronic and paper form.
Essential Functions/Primary DutiesThis position will perform, direct, and/or supervise the performance of the following primary functions under the direction of the Lead Pastor, Creative Director and Technical Director in accordance with the church’s by-laws:
Video Project Duties:
Film and edit videos for upcoming sermon series, testimonies, and Tapestry LA events.
Help setup recordings of CFT teaching, ministry meetings, and other church activities.
Document significant Tapestry LA events and prepare recap videos.
Sunday Service Duties:
Help prepare, troubleshoot, and direct the Sunday Livestream.
Maintain YouTube channel organization.
Maintain Subsplash video/media content organization.
Other Duties:
Prepare and help run visual/lighting elements for events in the sanctuary.
Assist with other media or production tasks as needs arise.
Help coordinate and train new volunteers.
Secondary/Auxiliary Duties
The Creative Coordinator will be required to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform any other job-related duties requested by the Lead Pastor, Creative Pastor, and Technical Director. Regular attendance and active participation in church events, staff meetings, and activities are required on this job.As TLA staff you may represent Tapestry LA Church in activities, services, and events that occur from time-to-time away from the church.
Knowledge, skills and abilities needed for this position:
Creative Expertise:
Proficient in Adobe Premiere and/or Davinci Resolve.
Familiar with other Adobe Creative Cloud apps (Lightroom, Audition, Photoshop, or After Effects).
Understanding of video production workflow from pre-production to post-production
Creative eye and understanding of visual storytelling. Ability to contribute ideas and understand the creative vision for video projects.
Technical knowledge of video equipment and formats with fluent understanding of cameras, lighting, and audio equipment used in video production.
Communication & Collaboration:
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to receive and give constructive feedback.
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Organization & Efficiency:
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple projects.
